Bad Manners from Glasgow Airport Passengers

A survey of United Kingdom airport staff has concluded that passengers using Glasgow airport in Scotland are among the rudest and worst-mannered in the UK.

A questionnaire was sent to over 2000 airport employees asking them a number of probing multiple choice questions about the behaviour and politeness of their customers. They were asked questions like:

‘Have you ever had to deal with a shouting customer?’ and ‘Have you ever had an argument with a customer?’.

Although the UKs major, busiest airports featured prominently in the list it was topped by Glasgow airport in Scotland. The survey suggests that passengers using Glasgow airport are amongst the rudest and worst behaved in the UK.

There were clearly some areas of the airport that were the worst for rudeness and belligerent behavior. The worst area was found to be the check in desks. Some passengers become very stressed by restrictions on luggage weight and hand luggage size limits and this can provoke some to behave rudely.

Another area in which people lose their cool very easily is in the Glasgow airport parking lots. People become impatient when waiting for shuttle buses and blamed airport parking staff when they couldn’t remember where they left their vehicles.

Airport staff are trained in dealing with passengers who can be stressed by tight schedules. But nobody should be required to tolerate hostile, rude and belligerent behavior from customers while at work.

Glasgow airport managers have said that they are now considering a campaign intended to improve customer behaviour at their busy airport. They are aware that the behavior of passengers can be very hard for staff to manage and has resulted in some personnel becoming stressed and suffering from stress induced illnesses.

A spokesman for Glasgow airport said: ‘If our customers would behave more courteously our airport would be a far more pleasant place to work. We’re likely to see a reduction in staff turnover and the workforce are likely to be a lot happier.

Kids Soccer Drills: Tips On Dribbling Skills

Dribbling refers to the skill of maneuvering the ball in the field while keeping its control. To begin with, kids are trained on this very skill of dribbling.

But how do you decide the level of its significance in the game. If you want your kids to develop dribbling skills, regular drills are the best thing to do. It teaches the kids the basic movements to drive the ball well. Dribbling the ball by keeping it close to you is used to develop the ability to get ahead of several opponents without losing control of the ball.

Learn by heart these basic tricks like playing with the ball in order to become a great dribbler. It is kids soccer dills that teach the kids to use their foot’s surface. Kids will often use the face of their instep, especially in case of dribbling the ball at a fast pace.

Yet, the kids must know the art of using the interior and exterior of both their feet on way to be good dribblers. In this manner, the kids can manage the possession of the ball regardless of the pressure from the opposite team. Kids must also be taught to apply both sides of their feet similar to a hockey stick.

Youth Soccer Drills

In soccer drills for kids, make sure kids touch the ball with every move it makes in the field. When dribbling the ball, tap it when it’s in front. This has an advantage for the kids to maintain control of the ball and increase the pace of dribbling.

Lead the young players to always stay aware of the ball’s movement. Kids must keep an eye on the playing field and concentrate on the ball while dribbling.

Assist them in working upon their weak foot. Soccer drills for youth should include continuous striking of the ball against a wall using the bad foot which will help them improve slowly.
When kids find some free time, instruct them to play with the ball.
Teach them to take a seat and rotate the ball from side to side using the weaker foot. The more they do it, the more they will be able to control the ball.

The Best Charity Singles EVER!

The release of the newest charity single Everybody Hurts has made me look back at some of the other charity singles that have existed over the years.

Do They Know It’s Christmas?

This is officially the very first charity single that came into existence and it has to be the most famous one too. This was created in 1984 for the famine that was occurring in Ethiopia. One of the amazing things about this song is that it sold a million in the first week and included stars such as Spandau Ballet, U2 and Phil Collins on the drum kits.

The Living Doll

Cliff remade this one with the cast of the young ones which was pretty cool. This ones money went straight into comic relief. Cliff was really not sure on this one because the comedians might ruin his almost clean cut image, the truth is they didn’t and the song went straight to the top spot.

Earth Song

Believe it or not this was a charity single and certainly not the only one that Jackson sung during his lifetime. In fact the others include heal the world, gone too soon and man in the mirror.

Of course just because a song is made for charity it does not mean that it is simply going to become an immediate success it takes a combination of both normal guitars and guitar accessories and all of the other instruments along with the perfect sound of backing choirs and all other things that make the songs what they are.

Charity singles help out many causes there is no doubt about that but they should not be brought simply for this reason. Make sure you actually like the song because if you do not you are better off simply donating to a charity of your choice.

History of the GPS Satellite

The US military forces launched the first GPS satellite in 1978. More than thirty other satellites have been launched ever since for military, aviation and individual usage worldwide. Presently, almost any smartphone includes a form of GPS satellite navigation with different mapping support and applications. The GPS seems to have become an integrated part of people’s life, but one has to wonder what will happen in a couple of years when the now orbiting satellites will have to be replaced. At present, there are management and funding issues that seem to act against the proper reconditioning of the GPS applications. The US Air Force is in charge of the entire GPS satellite structure, but according to a recent May 2009 report, there are economic difficulties to be overcome.

The average user will hardly notice if any of the 31 orbiting satellites will fail, because normally, four satellites at time on the sky are enough to provide adequate information. There is a certain redundancy in the way information is provided, because sometimes, six up to eight satellites can get connected to a GPS receiver for the same tasks.
